There are more than 800 smokefree gambling venues across the U.S. Today, Maryland is one of 20 states that require all state regulated gaming venues to be smokefree indoors for health and safety. Like all Maryland casinos, MGM National Harbor opened as 100 percent smokefree indoors. MGM National Harbor opened in December 2016, nearly a decade after Maryland’s 2008 statewide smokefree workplace law went into effect. This is good news for the health and safety of Maryland’s casino workforce, customers, and the public.
